Lawn edging is the method of creating distinct lines that mark the edge of a lawn. Lawn edging encourages grass to stay within these lines by cutting and maintaining it. Besides that, it helps to make your lawn look clean and gives your lawn an amazing appearance.

Do I Need To Edge My Lawn?

It’s not necessary to edge your lawn. Edging doesn’t help to keep your grass healthy. Your lawn can still look great without well-maintained edging. However, edging helps to improve the tidiness of the lawn and to create distinct shapes in the lawn. It helps your lawn to look great.

Overgrown lawn edges look ugly and make a well-cared lawn look untidy. If you want to get a professional finish, you should re-cut the edges of your lawn every spring. Besides that trim overhanging grass after mowing.

Let’s figure out find out how can we do that, in our guide.

What’s the best lawn edger?

Lawn edging is the final touch to the mowing regime. It gives a clean, polished finish to your lawn.

If you have a small lawn, a pair of long-handled edging shears would be a simple choice. Carbon steel blades are strong and you can sharpen regularly for a neat clipped edge. If you are using carbon steel you should coat them to ensure rust resistance.
